Transition from summer to school

The transition from the freedom of summer vacation back into the more rigid schedule of the school year can be difficult for kids, but it can also be difficult for parents. This is especially true depending on the parenting schedule that is in place.

In dealing with this transition, parents must remember that the sole concern of the Court is what is in the best interests of the children involved. It is up to parents to shield their children as much as possible from any conflict that may exist between them and to prioritize whatever arrangement is best for the kids, even if it is inconvenient or uncomfortable. Simply put, the Court doesn’t really care about what is best for you or your ex-spouse and it will not be a factor in determining what is best for your children.
